[News] Religious Leader Shoots 4 Year Old Boy To Death Because He Might Be Gay!
The homegirl, Hillina put me up on this story via her Facebook news feed. The video above doesn’t get into it so much but apparently this poor little child, Jadon Higganbothan was murdered because his stepfather, a nut job ‘religious’ (read, cult) leader named Peter Lucas Moses thought he might be gay.
Two thoughts: 1. will Nancy Grace give this story even 1/1000th the coverage she gave the Caylee Anthony story and 2. do people like Tim Pawlenty feel even a little guilt for not coming out (pun intended) more strongly against the ridiculous homophobia they regularly espouse in the name of maintaining their so-called conservative values? Truly sad all around.

Time will tell whether Cee will address the situation head on himself but in the meantime, many think he spoke on it indirectly via the 1’s and 2’s on his ‘Old School at Noon’ throwback hip-hop mixshow on Hot 97 last Monday. Am I being too cynical if I say that, while this is great and shows the president and Democrats can still get progressive legislation passed, that maybe this was allowed to slide by the GOP because they knew it was inevitable that it was going to happen anyway eventually but now they can say something like, “Look the president and left are more concerned with ‘trivial’ issues like gays serving in the military than ‘real’ issues like turning around the economy and creating jobs to get people back to work”? Sorry, my mind often tends to that kind of glass half empty thinking….
