Tonight SWB (School Without Borders) will bring together friends, families, partners and supporters to celebrate the successes and growth of the organization over the past years.
Running from 6pm to midnight, the event will host over 500 people from across the GTA as well as international guests. Local, organic food will be served up until 9pm, and activities, presentations, performances, and videos will be ongoing throughout the evening! Toronto’s The Airplane Boys will also be performing.
RECESS was a time one could express their creative side and develop skills outside of the classroom walls. This time allowed us to play and share with one another in a space that was fresh, cooperative and liberating. It was our break then, and is our break now, so bring your inner youth and come spend an evening filled with fun, laughter and REAL learning!
Tickets are $60.00 (up until November 1st) and are available online NOW! CLICK HERE to make your purchase.
If you have any questions or concerns about purchasing tickets, please email us.

And to celebrate, here’s a track called “I’m Up On That” featuring two artists on the bill tonight, Das Racist and Homeboy Sandman:
Sidebar: Don’t that beat sound like a slowed-down version of Money Boss Players’ “Players Pinnacle”?
And hit the jump for a promo trailer for tonight’s show. (more…)
“Curren$y took over The Opera House in Toronto Friday night during the first stop of The Smokers Club Tour. With the help of Smoke DZA and Big K.R.I.T., he ran through the majority of his Pilot Talk LP. Here’s some highlights, including favorites like “Glass House”, “Skybourne”, “Address”, “Life Under The Scope”, as well as newer material like “4 Hours and 20 Minutes” and even an acapella from his new single “Michael Knight”.”

I’m staying in and trying to finish this book (I’m at p.220 out of 560!) but for those of you partaking in the Satantic rituals, here’s a little season-appropriate, holiday music to get you in the mood. (Promo/PR/marketing companies, artists, DJ’s, ‘mash-up’ artists and producers: don’t get any funny ideas and flood my inbox tonight with any more of this crap – I’m only doing this post to see if it’s Hype Machine-friendly, traffic bait…)
First, a dubstep track sampling the Halloween theme by Beat Mass – “Halloween (FilthStep)” with Benny Beatnik:
Then a little Ludacris vs. Ray Parker Jr. mash-up by the Manila Killa sampling the Ghostbusters theme called the “Ghostbusters Get Low (Manila Killa Halloween Bootleg)”:
Finally, hit the jump to see new Jive records artist, Bei Maejor makes a beat out of ‘Halloween stuff’ and a B-52’s vs. Satan – Monster Mashup 2010 titled, “The Devil’s In My Mix.” (more…)

Lopes spinning as well??! This is a MUST-ATTEND! Don’t sleep!!!!
