Track from just-released Chaos Theory EP by #DK11 album alum and Kitchen favorite, Keita Juma featuring fellow Toronto MC, Progress (he of the Night.Rhetoric EP fame). Ya dig? Then check out the entire EP HERE which also includes Keita’s track, “YRWEONTHISBEACH?” from the #DK11 album, THIS ONE GOES TO ELEVEN….
Another #DK11 album alum is doing big things. Homie & Kitchen favorite, Jai Nitai Lotus premieres the video for the latest single from his great Acknowldgement mixtape on OkayPlayer.
“When life gives you Don Lemon, make lemonade…”
All Instrumentation & Beat creds go to Slakah The Beatchild. Just a collection of personal thoughts & things on my mind.. you may find some of these to be true. Something unexpected! #YoungAndProud15 (this isn’t on my project) BUT know its coming!
The homie (and #DK11 album alum), Noah Vinson goes IN over “Byram’s Groove (Cut a rug)” from the Soul Movement 2 album by Toronto alternative soul maestro and (friend/favorite of The Kitchen), Slakah The Beatchild. Despite all the craziness right now, the mere existence of this song tells me there is still hope and good things in this world.
The homie, Junia-T has his big album release event tonight:
Eye See You – Album Release Party The Drake Hotel
Junia-T performing joints from Eye See You with The Juice Money Collective
Also a set from TassNata
+Special Guests!
Vibes will be provided by DJ Mensa & Silver Fox!

Previously on The Kitchen:
– Junia-T – Sky Is Falling Feat Kemikal [MP3 + Music Video]
I’m sightly biased here as Tuku is an old friend of mine, but this is pretty good stuff, well worth your time. Soulful, jazzy vocals over bangin’, classic hip hop production from Dr. Dre, Dilla, Madlib, 9th Wonder, Flying Lotus, Kev Brown etc. reinterpolated by the very underrated T.dot beatsmith, Gigz The Unknown Producer. Toronto heads will get this reference point, think a slightly more mature, spiritually-centered version of Shi Wisdom for a very rough sense of what the entire Moonday album sounds like from a vocal point of view.
