I’ve been really liking the tracks Janet Jackson has been releasing in advance of her first album (coming 10/2), Unbreakable, in seven years. She’s not trying to be too trendy or youthful. She’s got her own version of the Sade playbook down here, these are grown and sexy records with a little knock to them made the way only she (with an assist from Jam & Lewis?) can.
